Site Redesign, Project Management
The primary objective of this project was to redesign and implement the UBC BizChina official website for the bi-annual BizChina Forum. Our focus was on creating an engaging and user-centric platform that would effectively serve multiple purposes. We aimed to provide valuable information about the forum while inspiring trust and credibility in both the club and the event.
A key aspect of the redesign was to improve the overall user experience, ensuring that visitors could easily navigate the site and find the information they needed. This included optimizing the user journey to efficiently direct users to the ticket-selling platform, with the ultimate goal of driving ticket sales for the forum.
The redesign efforts yielded impressive results, significantly enhancing the website's performance and user engagement. We observed a notable 30% increase in average session time, indicating that visitors were spending more time exploring the site and engaging with its content. This improved engagement translated into tangible outcomes, with over 250 tickets sold through the website.
The redesigned platform played a crucial role in the successful hosting of the BizChina Forum. By focusing on visual hierarchy and readability, we effectively presented key information about the forum. We also optimized the website's loading speed and implemented multiple entry points to the ticket-selling platform, ensuring a smooth user journey from information gathering to ticket purchase. These improvements collectively contributed to a more effective and user-friendly website that successfully met its goals and supported the event's overall success.
